B & O Supprettes 15-A là gì?

It is not known whether belladonna and opium passes into breast milk or if it could affect the nursing baby. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding.
How should I use B & O Supprettes 15-A rectal?
Follow all directions on your prescription label. Never use B & O Supprettes 15-A in larger amounts, or for longer than prescribed. Tell your doctor if the medicine seems to stop working as well in relieving your pain.
Opium may be habit-forming, even at regular doses. Never share the medicine with another person. MISUSE OF NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICINE CAN CAUSE ADDICTION, OVERDOSE, OR DEATH, especially in a child or other person using the medicine without a prescription. Selling or giving away this medicine is against the law.
Do not take a rectal suppository by mouth. It is for use only in your rectum.
Wash your hands before and after inserting the rectal suppository.
Try to empty your bowel and bladder just before using the B & O Supprettes 15-A suppository.
Remove the wrapper before inserting the suppository. Avoid handling the suppository too long or it will melt in your hands.
Lie on your back with your knees up toward your chest. Gently insert the suppository into your rectum about 1 inch, pointed tip first.
For best results, stay lying down for a few minutes. The suppository will melt quickly and you should feel little or no discomfort while holding it in. Avoid using the bathroom for at least an hour after using the suppository.
Drink plenty of water to prevent constipation while using B & O Supprettes 15-A.
B & O Supprettes 15-A is most often used 1 or 2 times per day. Do not use the suppositories more than 4 times per day. Follow your doctor’s instructions. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse while using this medication.
Do not stop using B & O Supprettes 15-A suddenly after long-term use, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Ask your doctor how to avoid withdrawal symptoms when you stop using this medicine.
Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light. Do not refrigerate or freeze the suppositories.
Keep track of your medicine. B & O Supprettes 15-A is a drug of abuse and you should be aware if anyone is using your medicine improperly or without a prescription.
Do not keep leftover opioid medication. Just one dose can cause death in someone using this medicine accidentally or improperly. Ask your pharmacist where to locate a drug take-back disposal program. If there is no take-back program, flush the unused medicine down the toilet.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Since B & O Supprettes 15-A is used for pain, you are not likely to miss a dose. Skip any missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
What happens if I overdose?
Seek emergency medical attention or call 115. A B & O Supprettes 15-A overdose can be fatal, especially in a child or other person using the medicine without a prescription. Overdose symptoms may include slow breathing, severe drowsiness, pinpoint pupils, and coma.
What should I avoid while using B & O Supprettes 15-A?
This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how B & O Supprettes 15-A will affect you. Dizziness or severe drowsiness can cause falls or other accidents.
Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather. This medication can decrease sweating and you may be more prone to heat stroke.
Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of belladonna and opium.
B & O Supprettes 15-A side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
-
weak or shallow breathing;
-
a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;
-
fast heartbeats;
-
painful or difficult urination;
-
little or no urination; or
-
severe constipation and stomach pain.
Serious side effects may be more likely in older adults and those who are overweight, malnourished, or debilitated.
Common side effects may include:
-
drowsiness, dizziness;
-
blurred vision;
-
constipation;
-
itching or rash;
-
dry mouth; or
-
increased sensitivity to light.

What other drugs will affect B & O Supprettes 15-A?
Using B & O Supprettes 15-A with other drugs that make you sleepy or slow your breathing can cause dangerous side effects or death. Ask your doctor before taking a sleeping pill, an opioid medicine, prescription cough medicine, a muscle relaxer, or medicine for anxiety, depression, or seizures.
Other drugs may interact with belladonna and opium, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell your doctor about all your current medicines and any medicine you start or stop using.
